The Artisan Island

High Point Farms Bed & Breakfast is centrally located on the southside of Gabriola Island. That makes access to local shopping, the ferry, Silva Bay, Malaspina Galleries or Twin Beaches a pleasant 15 minute drive away.

Known as the Artisan Island of the Gulf Islands, Gabriola has potters, painters, carvers, sculptures, quilters, jewellers, photographers and milliners. You can visit these artists right in their studios or view their varied accomplishments at "Artworks" in the heart of Folklife Village.

Our musicians are multi-talented as well. Everything from fiddlers to concert pianists, opera singers to blues, Jazz quartets to folksy country bands. The local theatre will also dazzle you and challenges the best you'll see in the big city. Golfing, cycling, swimming, kyaking, fishing, sailing, hiking-- there's not much you can't do on this beautiful island. And so many natural wonders to see. Such as our famous petroglyphs or the Malaspina Galleries. Beachcombing along Twin Beaches or Drumbeg Park can reveal all kinds of treasures. And what better way to experience the westcoast spirit than watching an eagle soar over Gabriola Pass.

Of course, a busy day is not complete without a tasty meal. A wide variety of eateries pepper the island offering everything from a good steak to a savoury veggie menu.
